International workshop on economic and consumer psychology - Hosted in Vienna!

25.03.2026

Researchers from across Europe gathered in Vienna for an international workshop on economic and consumer psychology, exchanging ideas on ongoing projects and discussing topics ranging from price perceptions to sustainable food choices.

An international workshop on economic and consumer psychology recently took place in Vienna, bringing together colleagues from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Italy.

The workshop featured presentations from PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and our Master’s students Emilia Monkiewicz and Finn Wollseiffen (“An example of a price illusion: Why plant-based meat alternatives are perceived as more expensive”).

Throughout the event, participants shared insights into research projects at various stages of development, exchanged feedback, and explored new ideas together. Discussions extended beyond the formal presentations, linking research topics to real-world examples – occasionally with a distinctly Austrian touch, such as traditional and vegan Leberkäse.

We’re already looking forward to continuing the exchange at next year’s workshop in Milan.
